Can I try it for free?
Yes. After launch you can try every feature free for 7 days, no card needed. After that the app still works for free: you can add your questions, study and quiz yourself. Writing questions and automatic feedback need a subscription.
Do I need to install anything?
No. RecallPop runs in your browser. On your phone you can add it to your home screen with its own icon, no app store needed.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, it is made for phones first, but works just as well on a computer.
Can I create my own subjects?
Yes. You can create up to 12 subjects and rename, recolour or delete them freely.
Can I take photos of my notes?
Yes. If your notebook contains questions and answers, the app takes them over. If it is plain text, like a textbook page, it writes questions from it. You can review and edit everything before saving.
How is it different from Anki or Quizlet?
You don't have to write the cards: the app creates them from your notes. And you don't just flip the card – you answer, written or spoken, and the app tells you what was missing from your answer.
How is it different from asking ChatGPT?
ChatGPT answers you – RecallPop quizzes you. It saves your questions by subject, remembers what you know and what you don't, and on a schedule asks again what you don't know yet. You can answer out loud, and with every answer it shows what was missing.
Does it work with slides and PDFs?
Yes. You can upload a PDF (slides, notes, book excerpt) directly, up to 40 pages at a time, and the app writes questions from it. It also handles screenshots and pasted text.
How do I switch plans?
Every month you pick the plan you need: Basic is enough during the term, Extra or Premium before exams. No commitment – switch or cancel anytime.
What is the study allowance?
Questions and feedback are produced by a large language model (AI). The study allowance covers its monthly cost. A bar in the app shows how much you have used. Exact matches are checked without the language model and without using your allowance, so most of it is left for the real, harder tasks.
Which languages does it understand?
You can study in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Hungarian and Latin, and answer in writing or out loud. The app's interface is available in 7 languages.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
The app keeps working for free: you can see your study sets, add new questions, study and quiz yourself. Only question writing and automatic feedback pause. If you subscribe again, you continue where you left off.
Are my questions kept?
Yes, we keep them according to our data retention rules so you can continue studying when you come back.
